Skills You Might Learn
This placement will offer students the chance to attain a broad range of skills. They will have hands-on practical experience, while working in a real life scenario. Specific examples are working as part of a team and using ICT. As well customer service and workplace communication skills will be gained.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will assist staff carrying out their duties. This firstly revolves around customer service and business administration in the office. Students will also learn about sales and advertising during their placement. In general students will be expected to show some initiative and be ready to help out when and where required.
Student Requirements
The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place.
Special Transport Requirements
Students may need to organise their own transport to work but there is a town bus service.
