Big Rig Diesel Repairs
A heavy duty diesel engine repairs specialist, is providing a Structured Workplace Learning position for a motivated Automotive student. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable industry experience. This repair specialist provides a comprehensive range of services including engine repair, general maintenance, tune up and rebuilds for all types of heavy duty engines, RVs, pickup trucks, electronic diagnostics, LPG tune-up, overhauls, authorized sales and parts and much more.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will use and maintain tools and equipment; apply safe work practices; participate in basic vehicle servicing; observe experienced mechanics; comply with OH&S procedures.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will have the opportunity to observe and assist a highly experienced mechanic in his workshop. Some of the duties may include working on gear boxes and assisting the mechanic in all tasks related to servicing and repair of heavy, medium and light duty engines. This is a busy employer offering genuine opportunities for young people to try out the industry with a hands on approach.

The employer will provide overalls. Student will need to wear work boots.
Special Transport Requirements
Buses run down Canterbury road. The company is 2.3km from Bayswater station. Due to the early start transport by car would be preferable.
