Skills You Might Learn

Students will extend their knowledge of the health industry, build an understanding of diagnostic processes, learn about medical filing, learn about Occupational Health and Safety protocols and apply their training in a practical setting.

Typical Tasks & Duties

During this placement students will: accompany and observe health professionals; observe treatments and assist where appropriate; be exposed to medical terminology; observe and take part in some of the practical and logistical components of work in the Health industry; comply with infection control policies and OH&S procedures.

Student Requirements

Appropriate dress, punctuality, meeting with employer prior to placement.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual. Students to wear closed-toe shoes. School uniform can be worn.

Special Transport Requirements

This location is best accessed by car or bus.
