An opportunity exists for Alpha Power Equipment for a student interested in gaining work placement as a Mechanic's assistant/sales. The successful student will work alongside senior mechanic and gain a vast range of exposure to the trade as well as some limited sales experience.

Students will gain skills in the following:
- practical hands-on skills
- following instructions and taking direction
- customer liaison
- industry knowledge

Typical Tasks & Duties

Under the supervision of the owner the student will typically:
- Complete chainsaw chain repairs
- Sweeping
- Putting together new equipment
- Loading and unloading of equipment
- Customer service/liaison
- Cleaning
- Other duties as directed

Student Requirements

Students should have an interest in mechanics and or a willingness to learn. Hardworking with a can-do attitude and willing to take on duties as directed.

Dress Requirements

Work pants or shorts, steel cap boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Students need to make their own way to premises.
