TAILOR Snjezana Alterations & Dressmaking has been providing a range of professional services in Dandenong since 2005, from clothing adjustments to designing and making clothes from deb and bridal wear to dresses and other fashion garments. The owner has more than 30 years of experience in the clothing industry providing her customers with professional and friendly service to suit their needs. This is a great place to learn a range of skills from basic sewing techniques to design.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Typical tasks and duties will vary depending on student skill level and experience. Some typical tasks will include hand sewing, unpicking, cutting and tracing patterns, accurate measuring and fitting customers, understanding the various needs of clients. Depending on skill level, sewing machine use and some design work will be welcomed.

Student Requirements

Basic sewing skills and you will need a friendly and pleasant manner. Must be studying a related course in fashion/dressmaking, keen to learn the trade and accept advise.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual as you will be working with customers

Please ensure all Work Placement forms are completed and a copy provided to the employer prior to starting placement.
