Skills You Might Learn
Basic diagnostic skills will be developed, identification of tools, computer software will also be used with basic diagnostic tasks. Students will also learn a number of employability skills including presentation, working as part of a team, communication skills, customer service and after care follow up, knowledge of front of house operations.
Typical Tasks & Duties
This opportunity will focus on the student getting hands-on experience and being able to increase their tasks as they learn. -Be mentored by an automotive technician -Assist different levels of technicians including: master technicians and diagnostic technicians
-Engage in safe-working practices
-Apply your course theory
-Follow the direction of your supervisor.
Student Requirements
Students must be studying in the industry and have a genuine interest in the automotive sector. Students must have:
-A good work ethic
-Show motivation and enthusiasm
-Good communication skills
-Demonstrate a sense of professionalism
-Be interested in working within a family-run business
Dress Requirements
-Steel capped work boots
-Black work pants
-Students will be provided with a branded polo shirt.
Special Transport Requirements
Students must make their own way to and from the work place.
