Ground Force maintenance is a small team of dedicated tradespeople. The team wok on all types of maintenance from plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering and painting. Work is usually for body corporates on units as well as school buildings and domestic homes. The team have been lucky enough to work on The Block as well as Reno Rumble.
This is a great opportunity for a student keen to work in the Building and Construction Industry and wants to try out different trades.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain skills related to their Building and Construction or related certificate. Students will also gain other valuable skills such as teamwork, communication with team members, as well as, time and task management skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

A student who is successful in securing a position with Ground Force will have the opportunity to work across a number of trades including carpentry, plumbing and electrical. Tasks and duties will depend on a student’s willingness to learn and previous experience, it is a good idea to tell the employer which areas you would like more experience in.

Student Requirements

Students are required to be studying a certificate in Building and Construction or related. Students should also be willing to learn and open to take orders.
It is important to the business that students are punctual, have a good attitude and can get along with others.
You must have obtained your white card and can present it to the Employer during the meet and greet. Students should also bring lunch with them.

Dress Requirements

Students are required to wear steel capped boots and comfortable work clothes. Students can bring their own tool belt if they have one.

Special Transport Requirements

Students are required to make their own way to and from the worksite.
Students may be able to organise a lift from the Frankston train line with the employer depending on location.
