Students will learn workplace communication in real life scenarios. They will also assist with specific tasks related to the specific learning opportunity that they have undertaken. Skills developed will be around either accounting, business administration, heavy auto or fabrication.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Tasks will be around assisting other employees in their roles and the student will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices. They will work as part of a team while under regular supervision.
Student Requirements
The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots possibly.
Special Transport Requirements
Students may need to organise their own transport to work but there is a bus service in Swan Hill.
