Choices Flooring Euroa has an exciting opportunity for a student in an area of high skills shortage. This placement will offer the student the chance to view first hand what is needed in the floor laying industry. The student will commence by assisting qualified tradespeople in laying and completing floor laying jobs, students will also work in the warehouse and may travel through all aspects of this business including sales and customer service. Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will assist the qualified workers on the job all over the region. Furthermore this placement will require you to work in the warehouse with new deliveries, loading up vehicles for tradespeople, making sure all tools and equipment are packed and stored correctly. Students may also be asked to assist with quotes, and offer customer service in the front of store.

Student Requirements

Students will ideally have some existing knowledge through VET studies or a genuine interest in flooring and/or trades where tool handling skills and attention to detail are essential. The student will be required to follow instructions, understand and implement OH&S policy. The student will be required to lift and carry heavy items safely, be able to use tools for measurement, and write clearly for quotes.

Dress Requirements

Work boots are required and sturdy, neat work clothes.

Special Transport Requirements

You will be required to get yourself to 80 Binney Street, after that your own transport is not required.
