Early Childhood Educator

A wonderful opportunity has become available for students studying Community Services & Health certificate in Childcare. At Kindoo! the children are able to explore the world through play and interaction with their peers. Students will support children from 3 year old Kinder to 9 year old's in the After school program to experience various challenges so they can learn with joy, keep their curiosity and fill pride about what they are learning and are supported by highly experienced and professional staff committed to provide a safe and friendly environment.

Skills You Might Learn

Student will be able to develop their skills with communication, problem solving, time management, teamwork, etc. Be interested and keen to assist in expanding children's minds. Develop positive and respectful relationships with children, assist with health and safety of children, interact positively with all children and parents, and participate in workplace health and safety.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will work with children attending 3 year old kinder and children up to 9 years of age in After School Care program while being supervised by experienced staff.
They will be doing a broad range of tasks and duties while assisting the kinder teachers and will undertake some of the following: - Assist with activities and programs, setting up activities for kinder and After School program, supervision of children in the indoor and outdoor play areas, assist with meal time and story time, following policies and OH&S procedures. There will be a broad range of tasks and duties you will be required to undertake which will contribute to developing your skills and knowledge in early childhood education and care.

Dress Requirements

Students to wear black tee-shirt, jumper and pant's (black jeans can be worn). Enclosed shoes - runners aloud. Be Sun smart - bring a hat for outside play.

This location can be reached by bus or car. Bus stop is on Dorset Road a short walk down Commercial Road.
