A great opportunity in Kitchen Operations as a Kitchen Operations Assistant is available at Robinvale Golf Club.
The Robinvale Golf Club is situated approximately 3km from the township of Robinvale. Our bistro is open Tuesday through to Saturday, lunch 12pm to 2pm and dinner 6pm to 8.30pm, there are $15 lunch specials and a full a la carte menu available daily. Our bistro is fully licensed to hold up to 200 guests. We also have two alfresco dining areas. We have an indoor children’s play area. Our clubhouse has the facilities to handle a business meeting or that special group or family function. We cater from anything to birthdays, christenings, weddings, wakes, reunions, etc, large or small.

Skills You Might Learn
Students will gain an understanding of and develop the basic skills related to working in the Hospitality Industry – Kitchen Operations.
Students will learn to work in a team, communicate effectively in the workplace, be punctual at all times, present at work in appropriate work attire, follow instructions, complete work with attention to detail and adhere to OH&S requirements at the work place.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will observe and spend time under the direct supervision of experienced and qualified Kitchen staff assisting with general food preparation and service tasks and duties.
Tasks and duties may include assisting to prepare kitchen for daily service, assist in preparing food for service in kitchen, safely manual handle cooking produce and products, participate in safe food handling practices, clean and maintain the work areas, clean cutlery, crockery and kitchen equipment and apply OH&S requirements for the Hospitality Industry – Kitchen Operations.
Student Requirements
Whilst the student is attending the work experience placement they are expected to:
• Show a genuine interest in the Hospitality Industry – Kitchen Operations.
• Food Handlers Certificate, please note: obtaining the Food Handlers Certificate is required prior to attending the work experience placement.
• Be neat in appearance, maintain a high level of personal hygiene, willing to observe, listen and learn while working in our team.
Dress Requirements
The student must be well presented and groomed as Kitchen Operations staff may work in full view of customers.
• Flat, non-slip, enclosed work shoes.
• Dark polo top and long pants.
• Long hair must be tied back, nails must be kept short and clean.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the tasks and duties carried out by the student, will be supplied by the Host Employer.
Special Transport Requirements
Student to arrange own transport to and from work.
