Typical Tasks & Duties

This placement involves working alongside our front of house team to provide outstanding customer service. The Peppermill has many service areas including; bar, bistro, beer garden, event spaces, accommodation and gaming - so this placement will be just as varied! Students will also assist with basic cleaning and maintenance of the venue, which is central to running a hospitality business and ensuring the safety of staff and patrons.

Student Requirements

Students must come ready to learn and be reliable throughout their attendance. Students will ideally have some existing training/skills or a genuine interest in hospitality, tourism or events as a career, therefore VET students and students who have completed a Food Handlers Certificate or have learned OH&S at school will get the most from this experience.

Dress Requirements

A white shirt, black pants and closed in shoes are typical to the industry and should be worn. Students must be well presented, with long hair to be tied back and facial hair kept neat and tidy.

Special Transport Requirements

Students must arrange own transport. Public transport options may be available.
