WORK LOCALLY FOR A LEADING FABRICATION CONSTRUCTION COMPANY! -

Work with a leading provider of prefabricated roof trusses, wall frames and posi-struts designed for commercial, residential and owner builders. With a reputation for excellence in delivering timber frames and trusses throughout Victoria including the Central, Northern and Metropolitan regions, this is a perfect opportunity for enthusiastic students keen to understand this vital part of the construction industry. Students will be exposed to the design and detailing aspects of the industry using CAD based software.
A keen interest in the construction industry is mandatory with a positive, hardworking attitude, with a willingness to learn and understand as much as possible of the industry.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Tasks on the placement will vary depending on the current job, and on each student's areas of skill and interest. Tasks may include traditional carpentry working on products including roof trusses, wall frames, Posi-Struts, as well as all aspects of the design and detailing.

Student Requirements

- Students are required to have a keen interest in the Building & Construction Industry.
- Students must be enthusiastic, have a willingness to learn, and be able to follow instructions.
- Students must be reliable and punctual
- An interest in house design
- Personal mobile phones are not required and should only be used out of work hours or on meal breaks.

Dress Requirements

Safety boots, and appropriate work clothes, and we will provide other PPE required. The company provides PPE specific to the job roles.

Special Transport Requirements

Public transport is available.
