Are you a student engaged in a community services VET program or just interested in a work placement opportunity within the community service sector. Ellimata Youth Inc is offering students the opportunity to come and gain experience as part of their team. In your work placement you will get great insight into the youth services/community services field and work with some truly passionate and dedicated Youth Workers.

Skills You Might Learn

In your work placement you will gain great insight into the youth services and community services industry, we will see exposed to a wide variety of tasks and duites. You will develop general employability skills, communication skills and work effectively as part of a team.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The Ellimatta Youth Centre is open three days per week and we run a range of programs especially for youth aged 10 – 25. You would have the opportunity to be involved in the set up, administration and support of our programs including:
Skill development,
Holiday programs,
Life skills,
Drop in programs,
Homework programs,
Recreation and leisure events,
Arts programs,
Other programs that support young people’s participation and engagement,
The development of leadership skills.

Student Requirements

Students should have a keen interest in the community service sector and have a willingness to learn. Interested students should express their interest via the Central Ranges LLEN via email lena@centralrangesllen.org.au. Please include your resume, covering letter including dates requested and any relevant VET Studies
