This is a fantastic opportunity to complete a Structured Workplace Learning placement by working closely with health professionals in an organisation that provides a range of flexible services and activities to support people with a disability to live the life that they choose. It's mission is to enable each person it supports to live as an empowered and equal citizen. This organisation provides day time support, community access and life skills.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will extend their knowledge of the health industry, gain a greater understanding of the various roles and professions within a Lifestyle Options facility for people with disabilities, learn about Occupational Health and Safety protocols and apply their training in a practical setting.

Typical Tasks & Duties

During this placement students will: support participants in programs; take part in lifestyle activities; help with basic set up of meals:some housekeeping such as clearing away dishes, packing is required. The student will also, with supervision, accompany staff on outings with participants.
