This is a fantastic opportunity to complete a Structured Workplace Learning placement by working closely with health professionals in a podiatry clinic. This clinic provides preventative and long term foot and lower leg care in a professional, friendly and informative environment. This opportunity is ideally suited to students interested in Allied Health studies.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will extend their knowledge of the health industry, gain a greater understanding of the duties within a podiatry facility, learn about Occupational Health and Safety protocols and apply their training in a practical setting.
Typical Tasks & Duties
During this placement students will: observe health professionals where appropriate; be exposed to medical terminology; comply with infection control policies and OH&S procedures. General administration tasks will also be undertaken: reception, filing and making appointments.
