Jelly Beans Playgroup in Horsham operating from 10am-12 each Tuesday during the school term. Held at the Horsham Uniting Church in Horsham, Jelly Beans is a great way for migrant and all other families to form friendships, exchange parenting ideas and gain support from other parents.

Skills You Might Learn

Teamwork, communication, problem solving, time management etc., gain experience with all pre-school age groups. Improve industry awareness, including cultural preferences. Develop positive and respectful relationships with children, assist with health and safety of children, interact positively with infants, toddlers and parents, participate in workplace health and safety, promote healthy food and drinks, etc.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assist staff to set up and pack up activities for education and play, learn about hygiene, observe behavior patterns in children at various ages and stages in their development. You will be involved in hands on help, preparing children for activities, engaging in meaningful play, wiping tables and tidying up after activities.

Student Requirements

This position requires a student with initiative and a can do attitude! This opportunity would suit a student who has a desire to work with children and has positive work place attitudes and ethics. To work with children you will need to have a positive friendly manner and use language suitable to children. This position is for a VET Community Services student.

Dress Requirements

Discreet jewellery, long hair tied back, closed toe shoes, dress suited to working with children, to be discussed at interview.

Special Transport Requirements

Is up to the student to find own way there.
