The company has a history of supporting the SWL program. The staff are friendly and helpful so if students are keen on the farm machinery scene this is a great opportunity to learn. Skills You Might Learn
Students will learn to work as part of a team, as well as independently. The use of basic mechanical hand tools and mechanical processes may also be learnt along with communicating in the workplace skills. Customer service in spare parts may also be learnt if the opportunity arises.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students in the position will assist workers in a range of tasks to complete basic mechanical procedures They will tidy work sites and use hand tools while supervised. The student will be required to be an active participant in all work place practices. This may involve assisting in the spare parts department as well.
Student Requirements
The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots.
Special Transport Requirements
Students will need to organise their own transport to work as there is no public transport on the Sea Lake Road.
