We are a non-profit charitable organisation offering Structured Workplace Learning (SWL) placements in Community Services. Our organisation provides emergency relief to people in need of support in the south-west region of Yarra Ranges. This confidential and non-judgemental service is offered to all in need of assistance. We provide: food, food vouchers, payment of prescriptions, clothing vouchers, assistance with paying bills, advocacy, referrals, crisis counselling and information.
Skills You Might Learn
Students may have opportunities to prepare for work in the community sector, communicate with people accessing the services of the organisation, work in a team, follow policies, procedures and programs and observe community services professionals in order to gain a better understanding of the industry.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Work with others, deliver services to clients, communicate with people accessing the services of the organisation, more specific duties including filing, reception, assisting grant researchers and administrative assistance.
