Skills You Might Learn

Fabricators/Boilermakers use a wide range of hand tools and hand held power tools and workshop machines such as drills, grinders, clamps, benders and quarry equipment. Students will learn safe practices of working with tools and welding equipment and apply basic fabrication techniques including bending and shaping engineering materials.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Dependent on skill level and ability students will work with boiler maker/metal fabricator, learning cutting, grinding and some welding will be involved. Students will apply basic fabrication techniques including bending and shaping engineering materials.

Student Requirements

A passion and commitment to the construction industry is essential. With the right attitude and willingness to learn this will be great introduction to boiler making and fabrication. Initial contact to be made by email, with resume attached.

Dress Requirements

Full length clothing, safety equipment supplied and to be worn at all times.

Special Transport Requirements

Students will need to arrange own transport to site.
