Skills You Might Learn

Work as part of a team to gain practical experience in Events Management and Business; which includes planning, arranging and running of events and presentations, communication and negotiation skills. You will gain valuable customer services skill as part of a team working on book launches and workshops.

Typical Tasks & Duties

You will have the opportunities to learn various aspects of the Marketing and Events business, this will include customer service, greeting clients, arranging appointments, replying to emails, event registrations and management. You will be updating information on the client data base, so confidentiality is essential. Student may have the opportunity to travel to meetings and events off site.

Student Requirements

To gain the best of this experience you will need to be a good communicator, self-motivated with good time management skills, work well in a team, with a keen interest in Events Management and Business.** Based at the Waterman Business Centre, you may attend meetings and events, so a Travel form will need to be signed before starting placement.
