Skills You Might Learn
The student will gain a broad range of skills in this placement, including an introduction to basic fabrication skills and how to use the equipment in a safe and efficient manner, work with in the Dairy Store team and assist with task associated with agriculture and retail.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Fabrication engineering trades person may perform the following tasks, and as a SWL student you will assist the qualified staff to cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies.,assemble parts and structures, finish products by cleaning, polishing, applying protective coatings. The student will be expected to assist with customer service, handle queries,and keep both the work area and retail space clean and tidy. Storing and maintaining equipment will be part of the job.
Student Requirements
To make the most of this opportunity the student will enjoy working with machines.interested in computer -programmable machinery, able to cope with the physical demands of the job, good hand eye coordination, able to work in a team and follow instructions, able to work independently, patient, safety conscious, and as this business has a retail competent dealing with clients and keeping a clean and safe work and retail space.
Dress Requirements
Full trade gear is required, work boots. The student will need to check with Mr Clark if there is top provided.
Special Transport Requirements
Student will need to make own way to placement.
