An opportunity is available for a organisation that:
Has high standard of furniture and fittings, heating and cooling, emergency lighting, sprinkler system and smoke detectors have been installed. It is managed in a friendly, "hands-on" manner by supportive and caring staff. Further the latest emergency call system is installed to all bedrooms and ensuites.
caters for a maximum of 66 residents in spacious single and double rooms all with ensuite facilities, and self contained suites. Residents are encouraged to bring as many of their personal possessions as can be accommodated in order to make their room as much a home away from home as possible.
Skills You Might Learn
Aged and Community services students will be able to gain skills and confidence communicating with the elderly and working in collaboration with other staff members.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Assisting with the care of residents, grooming, meals, companionship, accompanying residents on outings. Providing general care to residents within the facility to maintain independence and dignity. Promoting a homelike environment and a person centered care approach
Student Requirements
Show an interest in the Aged Care Industry, kind, polite, punctual, respectful of residents and their needs.
