Located in the heart of Dandenong, a destination cafe serving up speciality coffee, breakfast and lunch as well as pies, sweets and pastries. Serving breakfast and lunch in a spacious light-filled space, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain hospitality skills working Front of house.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will have the opportunity to build on their: communication skills, customer service skills, OH&S knowledge, team work, a variety of front of house skills along with food hygiene and general café operations knowledge.

Typical Tasks & Duties

You will assist with front of house operations, greeting and supporting customers, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the café, cleaning and tidying tables as required. You will need to able to work independently in busy periods, but also be confident to ask for help when needed.
Customer Service is an important part of this placement, the main task will be making sure customers have been attended to in a timely manner, and always with a Smile.

Student Requirements

This is a busy cafe so students will need to be happy to engage with customers and follow instructions. A bubbly personality is a must for this busy café, with understanding of the importance of being punctual and presentable.

Dress Requirements

Students are required to wear Black pants and top with closed toe shoes.
