The Salvation Army are and active contributor to supporting those in need in the Community. The Thrift Shop is a recycling and opp shop enterprise raising money to fund other social need projects within the community. Introducing young people to concepts of social justice early allows them to inform their own values, lets them know they’re part of something bigger and inspires them to get involved.

Typical Tasks & Duties

This placement will offer students the chance to attain a broad range of retail skills, including sorting donated clothing and bric-a-brac, serving customers, stock preparation and pricing. assist and support staff to replenish stock as required.

Student Requirements

Students will need to have an interest across both retail and community services, you will need to be adaptable and show Initiative, ready to serve a variety of customers. You will need to a have a welcoming personality.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual dress, with closed toe shoes.
