You will be assisting Mainstream’s aquaculture technicians in the daily operation of a recirculating aquaculture facility growing Barramundi.
Your work will involve routine manual labour and maintenance of aquaculture equipment under general instruction from the technician.
Very good communication skills, work ethic and ability to work as part of a team are essential.

This role will provide excellent exposure within a rapidly growing business and will provide the successful candidates with excellent career opportunities within the aquaculture industry.
Must have paper work signed 3 weeks prior to placement start date.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Student tasks during the placement will involve feeding the fish, water quality management, fish handling, routine servicing of equipment and filtration. You may also be asked to do other general day to day duties.

Student Requirements

Students are required to arrive on time and follow instructions given to them

Dress Requirements

Wear old clothes that can get dirty. You will be provided with gum boots.

Special Transport Requirements

There is a bus at the top of Lock Avenue.
