Skills You Might Learn
students will learn the operations of a busy hospital. They will learn about communication, team work, the importance of confidentiality. How to follow instructions, safety procedures and general duties of a hospital employee.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will be exposed to a number of departments in the hospital including the aged care facility, district nursing and patient services. A time will be spent in each department so as to give the student a wide range of experiences within the health industry. Students will be expected to follow safety procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Student Requirements
This position is for a VET Health Support student. Must have a positive, upbeat personality with a strong desire to keep clients safe and comfortable. To conform to all the workplace rules and instructions from their supervisor. Understand the need for confidentiality and sensitive information must be kept private at all times. Report any concerns to Supervisor.
