Great opportunity to work at the front office of a local hospital. Y&DMH is committed to enhancing the health status of the community it serves through the achievement of clinical excellence and the provision of high quality health services. They comprise four key areas, Acute, Residential Aged Care, District Nursing and Community Health. Y&DMH has a broad community reach servicing a population of approximately 6,892 from the communities of Yea, Glenburn, Kinglake, Flowerdale and surrounds.

To provide to persons, entitled under the Act, medical care, nursing assistance, and / or other support.
To aid persons affected by disease or injured as a result of accident.
To provide facilities for the treatment of both public and private patients as required.
To provide specific services that meet the needs of the frail, aged and disabled persons in our community.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be performing admin assistance. Students will help in:

Answer and direct phone calls
Organize and schedule meetings and appointments
Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Develop and maintain a filing system
Submit and reconcile expense reports
Provide general support to visitors
Provide information by answering questions and requests
Research and creates presentations
Generate reports
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Write letters and emails on behalf of other office staff

Student Requirements

Dress Requirements

Smart clothes and closed in shoes. Depending on area either black or blue trousers, White, black or blue t - shirt.

Special Transport Requirements

Students to make own way to placement
