This employer is keen to introduce a student to what his business in landscaping architect. Before they even start this business uses 3D modelling in their landscape designs. This position would suit a student who is interested in landscaping and general carpentry and is looking for an opportunity to work in a hands-on environment.

Skills You Might Learn

The student will gain an understanding of working within the horticulture, landscaping industry. Students can expect to attain skills in workplace safety, environmentally sustainable work practices, landscape construction, garden maintenance and basic construction skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will be learning all aspects of the landscaping industry. Duties may involve; general landscape construction work (including building and repairing decks, pergola's, retaining walls, fencing etc), labouring, digging, measuring, concreting, paving, keeping a safe and tidy workplace at all times.

Student Requirements

The student must have an interest in general landscaping, small building projects and have a willingness and capability to do general labouring duties.

Dress Requirements

Work pants and steel capped boots. Ear and eye protection, warm jacket for cold days and hat and sunscreen for warmer months.

Special Transport Requirements

Must be able to get to various work sites
