Nazareth House, located in Camberwell is an accredited 100 bed residential aged care facility. They are happy to host students studying a certificate in Allied health at their site.

Placements are available throughout school year and are 5 days long with potential to extend if both parties agree (No Friday's for one day per week placements).

Skills You Might Learn

Students completing a placement here have the potential to gain the following skills: Understanding of podiatry and physiotherapy programs, communication, teamwork, problem solving, self-management, planning and organisation skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students completing a placement here can expect to: Shadow in house Physiotherapist, participate in podiatry program, take part in supervision and direction of exercise programs for residents, provide companionship and assist with socialisation of residents and assist with resident outings.

Student Requirements

Students should have an interest in Allied Health, be enthusiastic, patient, show empathy & compassion and have respect for others.

Dress Requirements

Polo shirt, black/navy pants and closed toe non slip shoes. Neat/tied back hair, no false nails and minimal jewellery/make up. Closed toe non slip shoes.
