Plus many more.The Warrnambool lighthouse theatre offers an opportunity for a media/sound technician VET student to be involved in their major productions and receive first hand knowledge of Audio and sound engineer's work.

Skills You Might Learn

Student will gain skills in how to operate and test sound equipment, service and maintain equipment, operate controls to maintain correct sound levels, adjust and shift microphones, monitor sound and signals.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Sound technicians may perform the following tasks and duties. Determine sound requirements. Set up, test and operate equipment in accordance with the acoustics of the area and select, place and adjust microphones.Monitor audio signals to detect quality deviations or malfunctions

Student Requirements

A good ear for detail in all areas of sound. Aptitude for working with computers and audio equipment. Flexible attitude to working hours and conditions. Able to work under pressure.

Dress Requirements

Neat Casual dress. Covered Shoes.

Special Transport Requirements

Student will need to make own way to placement and be able to get there and home on weekends and after school hours.
