Located in Armadale on High street, Vivienna Lorikeet is a high quality Melbourne based Fashion Design label. Established in 2005, they pride themselves on creating garments of exquisite artisan quality and design. They are willing to host students interested in fashion design and studying related certificates.

Placements are available throughout school year and are 5 days long with potential to extend if both parties agree.

Skills You Might Learn

Students completing a placement here have the potential to gain the following skills: Cutting, sewing, machine operation, fabric knowledge, communication skills, teamwork, problem solving, planning, follow guidelines and organisation skills

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students would be required to assist with the duties based on their strengths and interests, which may include production, retail or design elements. Possible duties will include: machine sewing, hand sewing (hems, bra keepers etc.), pattern making, fabric/trim sourcing and fittings, customer service, social media, admin

Student Requirements

An interest in fashion is very important. Students should also have a good attitude, neat presentation and a willingness to learn.

Students are also required to sign a confidentiality agreement which will be given at the meet and greet or on the first day.
