This Stihl dealership is located in a very modern premises on the Nyah Road. The business has grown steadly in recent years and has been a long time supporter of the SWL program. Students are exposed to the various aspects of the business during placement which allows for genuine skill development.

Skills You Might Learn

The student will have the opportunity to experience the following, using hand tools to assist in a job, perform basic mechanical tasks and office administration techniques.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Duties at the Stihl Shop will include workshop maintenance and assisting staff with general disassembly and rebuild tasks. Students will be supervised to enable them to use hand tools while helping with general mechanical tasks.

Student Requirements

The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.

Dress Requirements

Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots.

Special Transport Requirements

Students will need to organise their own transport to work as there is no public transport in the Nyah Road.
