Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be involved in a range of food related tasks:

- food preparation
- menu planning
- food ordering and stock reconciliation
- food hygiene: ensuring work benches are clean and food is prepared according to food safety standards
- general kitchen cleaning and washing up

Student Requirements

Students must be willing to learn and be able to cope with a busy kitchen.
Students should ask lots of questions, be engaged in their placement and display good problem solving skills.

Dress Requirements

Black pants and a black top/shirt. Apron will be supplied.
Closed in flat shoes. Hair tied back.

Public transport is available to Gisborne.
