Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will undertake the following tasks and duties:

- Serving customers. The shop stocks clothing from baby sizes 0000 through to adult sizes XXXL! Students will need to put their selling and customer service techniques to the test!
- Stocking shelves, general cleaning and visual merchandising displays
- Cash handling and operating the cash register / EFT machine
- Wrapping gifts
- Undertaking administration tasks as required, which may include data entry, photocopying and filing.
- Place orders for new stock as directed by the owner
- Making signs / tagging items

Student Requirements

Students must have a genuine interest in the retail industry, have excellent communication and 'people' skills and be confident to talk to customers.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual clothes, no jeans. Neat hair and nails. Students will be representing the shop in a customer service role, so must have a neat appearance.

Special Transport Requirements

The placement is located centrally on Piper Street, Kyneton, and is therefore accessible by public transport.
