This opportunity is with an Elders Insurance agency based in Swan Hill. Run by Nathan and Rachael Cue, the agency provides a very worthwhile learning experience in a supportive and friendly environment. Students will spend time in business administration in the office as well as being out and about with Nathan visiting clients in a whole range of enterprise settings. Client relationships and sales go hand in hand and students will be able to see the business operate first hand. This is a great opportunity so don't miss it!
Skills You Might Learn
Tasks will focused around assisting Nathan as he builds client relationships. By being involved students will build their skills and an understanding of how insurance really works. The management of accounts and successfully building sales is the objective of an insurance agent and students will be involved as much is possible in this process.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will accompany Nathan visiting farms and businesses, meeting clients and conducting risk reviews in a wide variety of settings. If the opportunity arises students may also get to visit claim sites such as a house fire for example.
Student Requirements
The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VCAL or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place.
Special Transport Requirements
Students may need to organise their own transport to work but there is a town bus service
