This workplace is a modern, well equipped glaziers workshop. Staff turnover is low and the mood is friendly and busy. The workshop is orderly and clean. Staff are welcoming and will work with students to give them valuable experience in the industry.
Skills You Might Learn
Students will perform basic tasks that allow use of glazier specific tools and equipment. They will also maintain and store tools and equipment with consideration of safety requirements.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will work with other employees in the workshop or on site when required. Student will be required to be an active participant in all workplace practices. Specifically students will use tools and equipment under supervision in the manufacture and fitting of glass doors and windows.
Student Requirements
The student must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VM or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual clothes suited to a workshop plus sturdy work boots.
Special Transport Requirements
There is no public transport so students will need to make their own way to the workplace.
