Early Childhood Educator

This small Croydon-based childcare centre provides a safe and caring environment for children and families in the local community. This employer is offering Children's Services students SWL placement opportunities (one day per week). WEDS or THURS currently available. Skills You Might Learn

Students may build skills in:
- Ensuring the health and safety of children
- Participating effectively in the work environment
- Providing experiences to support children's play and learning
- Supporting the holistic development of children in early childhood

Typical Tasks & Duties

Tasks may include assisting in room setup and management, greeting clients/families, creating enjoyable, safe and educational experiences for the children, assisting with food preparation, complying with health and safety procedures and learning from a mentor at the centre.

Student Requirements

Students will need to be open-minded and adaptable, eager to learn, and respectful of clients, children and other staff.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual. Students to wear closed-toe shoes. School uniform can be worn.

This location is best reached by bus or car.
