If so we are offering a Structured Work Placement opportunity to allow students to gain an insight into the industry, with the possibility of leading to an apprenticeship for the right person. - Liaising and working with colleagues, bosses, customers/clients and suppliers.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Typical tasks and duties will include but not limited to, working along side a qualified tradesman and viewing the skills required to complete tasks, gathering tools and equipment required, tidying up the work site when needed, while on placement the student will also be able to have a go at making their own window with materials left from other jobs, this will provide real hands on experience of what the trade will involve.
Student Requirements
Students are required to have a good work ethic, able to follow instructions and have a genuine interest in finding out more about the window and glazing industry.
Dress Requirements
Safety boots, tradesman pants and high vis shirt are required. If you do not have a high vis shirt, there are high vis vest available on the work site.
Special Transport Requirements
Local transport is available.
