Opportunity for a student interested in work experience in Electrical work at a large power station.
AGL Loy Yang asset consists of a 2,200 megawatt power station, together with an adjacent brown coal mine which is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. The power station supplies approximately one third of Victoria's power requirements.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will work along side a qualified Electrician and gain experience working in a large power station.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will assist qualified Electricians performing routine and defect maintenance work. Students will be working as part of a team and have the opportunity to enhance their skills development.

Student Requirements

Students must have an interest in becoming an Electrician, have a good attention to detail, be reliable, punctual and committed.
Students need to complete an AGL Loy Yang work placement application form available from their Careers Teacher @ their school

Dress Requirements

Must wear long sleeved top/shirt, long pants and steel capped boots (no shorts are permitted)

Special Transport Requirements

students must organise their own transport to and from Loy Yang
