Skills You Might Learn

The student will gain an understanding of working within the horticulture, landscaping and fencing industry. Students can expect to attain skills in workplace safety, environmentally sustainable work practices, landscape and fencing construction, garden maintenance and recognition of plants, trees, soil types and pests

Typical Tasks & Duties

Some of the tasks may include:

-landscaping
- decking
- cleanups
-rubbish removed
-dingo work and hire(eg. trenching, post holes, 4in1 bucket)
-tree lopping
-lawn mowing & ride-on mowing
-gutters cleaned

Student Requirements

The student must have an interest in landscaping and general construction handyman services. Students must have a willingness and capability to do general labouring duties. The student must be punctual, willing to listen and learn, follow all worksite OHS.

Dress Requirements

Work pants and steel capped boots. Ear and eye protection, warm jacket for cold days and hat and sunscreen for warmer months.
