Typical Tasks & Duties
During your placement, you may undertake the following:
Provide a link between the kitchen and service areas
Investigate the menus; who plans menus and how often they are changed
Research and plan your own menu and complete a stock order list (include prices for stock and plan menu prices to ensure profit)
Identify OH&S policies and procedures in the workplace
Clean equipment
Clean and tidy work areas
Learn more about food handling and hygiene
Learn about following instructions
Learn about working in a team
Learn to work quickly, competently and safely
Student Requirements
