This placement is a Front of House role at Franco-Belge, a popular French-Belgian restaurant located in Hawthorne East. They are happy to host enthusiastic students studying a certificate in Hospitality. They are after students who take the industry seriously, are reliable, and willing to learn.

Placements are available throughout school year and are 5 days long with potential to extend if both parties agree. For 1 day per week Placements - placements should only be for a maximum of 5 weeks. A student can seek another 5 weeks (10 weeks maximum, as per guidelines) should both the student and employer agree after the commencement of the first placement.

This placement could align with your Certificate II in Hospitality/Kitchen Operations via the following Units of Competency:
SITXWHS001 Participate in safe work practices
BSBTWK201 Work effectively with others
SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students completing a placement here can expect to carry out: Front of House Operations - Including but not limited to table setting, stock control, order taking, customer service, table clearing, polishing and maintain a clean and safe workplace.

Student Requirements

Students need to have a keen interest in Hospitality. Being enthusiastic and willing to learn, punctual, neat presentation, and have a polite manner will also be important.

Dress Requirements

Students should dress neat and tidy in appropriate chef uniforms with appropriate closed toe shoes. Rooms to get changed in are available on site.
