Founded in Victoria in 2014, Backpacks 4 Vic Kids provide crisis packs and gift packs to vulnerable children, aged from birth to seventeen years. They aim to bring comfort, ease anxiety and to restore dignity. They deliver six programs supporting children in crisis. Working out of their Cranbourne West warehouse, staff and volunteers work together to provide back packs where needed. Skills You Might Learn

Photography, research, social media, sharing photos, Canva, marketing, event support as well as communication skills, employability skills, problem solving, time management, interpersonal and social skills.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be supporting staff and volunteers with digital activities such as social media including taking and sharing photographs, using Canva to create images for posts and stories, researching facts and figures, and writing blurbs, developing marketing campaigns for events and fundraisers, and updating our photo bank and resources. Students will also undertake data management as part of this role.

Student Requirements

You will be required to be supportive, respectful and friendly, able to communicate with a range of participants. As this employer is a not-for-profit community organisation payment will not be provided.
Please note, a resume will be required before the interview and minimum standard of competency in Microsoft Office suite will be tested.

Dress Requirements

Neat casual, closed toe shoes and no tank tops

Special Transport Requirements

May need to get there by own transport.
