Electrical tradesperson

Position available for e for Electrical Tradesperson.

Established in 1988, this company build switchboards from the ground up at the one site, and we can build any switchboard from MCC’s to SCA’s, multi-metering and fully type tested switchboards. Have switchboards on sites everywhere from as far north as Queensland to as far south as Geelong.

Were one of the first board builders in Australia to build a 6000 amp type tested switchboard which is currently operating at Shorko in Wodonga and a 7000 amp type tested switchboard which is operating at the Cement Australia Plant in Gladstone.

In 2003 three employees traveled to Denmark to become accredited with the Cubic modular type tested switchboard system.

Skills You Might Learn

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assist electrician with tasks such as (UNDER SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES);
- electrical maintenance
- data maintenance
- handling tools
- testing malfunctioning equipment
-identifying defects
- troubleshooting
- repairing equipment with assistance
- fill installation work orders
- complete maintenance work orders
- wiring
- alignment adjustments
- calibration of equipment following manuals, diagrams, blueprints

Student Requirements

Understanding of OH&S
White Card preferred
Positive attitude
Seeking pathways into electrical or manufacturing

Dress Requirements

Safety Boots. All other required PPE will be provided.

Special Transport Requirements

Students will need to arrange their own transport to and from work.
