This is placement is on FRIDAYS ONLY. The Post Office Hotel is a large gastro pub that offers a range of food, Our customers are mostly families and we pride ourselves in offering good quality food in a relaxed environment. Students will get the opportunity to work in a kitchen with a range of qualified chefs as if they were starting their 1st year of cooking apprenticeship.

Skills You Might Learn

Adhere to OHS and food handling practices applicable to industry and workplace, working in a team, working to a time frame under restaurant conditions, coordinating and collaborating with the team.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be a part of the kitchen team and will be given the opportunity to showcase their skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will be part of the brigade, involved in the preparation of dishes and ingredients before the beginning of service, working in different sections, following recipes, plating up and using your knife skills.
