Typical Tasks & Duties

This Structured Workplace Learning placement will expose students to both spray painting and panel beating of new and old vehicles. General duties could include:
Dismantling cars
Assisting with cleaning and preparing of vehicles
Assisting in the use of specialised tools to repair damaged vehicle bodies
Sanding and masking
Spray painting
Ensuring that the workshop is clean and tidy
Assisting qualified tradesmen in the workshop as required

Student Requirements

Students are required to have a genuine interest in the panel beating industry, be hard working and have a willingness to learn with good communication skills.

Safety footwear and workwear required

Student to make own transport arrangements
