Do you have a passion for cookery and preparing meals at a massive scale? This unique placement provides students with the skills and knowledge to prepare meals for Hospital patients and work within the industrial Cookery industry. Students will learn how this industrial cookery setting prepares over 3,500 meals per day to over 8 different hospitals. With supportive staff, the student will learn the importance of strict work safety and hygienic practices, cleaning and preparation and an insight into industrial kitchen operations.
*** Please note this is not a commercial kitchen with conventional cookery settings. Most ingredients are already pre-cut/ prepared ****

Student Requirements
This placement is suitable for Year 11 and Year 12 students studying Hospitality/ Cookery certificates.

All black with collared shirt and closed in shoes.
Special Transport Requirements
Ivanhoe train station (on the Hurstbridge Line) is a short bus journey away from the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital.
