Skills You Might Learn

You will enhance your skills in communication and teamwork; you will also learn how to plan and schedule the day’s work as an IT operator, to diagnose issues and troubleshoot IT equipment and exercise your problem-solving skills!

Typical Tasks & Duties

Youwill assist with all aspects of the ICT help desk operation. Duties will include providing support with client requests through the helpdesk system, working with council systems and data, installing and upgrading desktop software, and providing customer service to business areas.

Student Requirements

To shape this into a valuable work placement, you must be punctual, have a willingness to learn and take initiative. You must also have a genuine interest in IT!

Dress Requirements

Please wear neat casual office clothing appropriate for the workplace, no jeans, sport shoes or opened toed shoes.

Special Transport Requirements

You are required to provide your own transport to and from the Wellington Shire offices.
