Typical Tasks & Duties

Horticulture / Parks & Gardens
A variety of grounds maintenance and gardening duties including:

• Garden services including: pruning, weeding, leaf and rubbish removal
• Identification and treatment of weeds, pests and diseases
• Planting, feeding and fertilisation of plants
• Mixing, decanting and spraying chemicals including pesticides, herbicides and fuel
• Mowing, lawn edging and grass maintenance
• Safely operating a range of horticultural equipment including: a blower, hedger, whipper snipper, push mower and ride on mower

Sports Turf Management
A variety of turf management and grounds maintenance duties including:

• Fine turf management duties including: management of the seasonal program, maintenance of turf to the seasonal program, identifying, analysing and treating weeds, pests and diseases, irrigation control, fertilising turf and maintaining a dethatching program
• Mixing, decanting and spraying chemicals including pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and fertilisers
• Management of the irrigation system and moisture control
• General grounds maintenance including: mowing and edging lawns to specifications, pruning, weeding, leaf and rubbish removal
• Use of a range of horticultural equipment including: a blower, hedger, whipper snipper, push mower, cylinder mower and ride on mower, edger

Company uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided

Special Transport Requirements

None – ability to get to site ready for a 6.30am start.
